Lesson One and Two

Made for a professor of Chinese at Bellevue College, this is intended to be a multiplatform series of practice rooms for her and her students. While designed and intended for SteamVR capable headsets, it can also be played via a keyboard and mouse.

This project is comprised of three separate rooms – one to practice phrases from lesson one, one to practice phrases from lesson two, and the main menu (where it was left open enough for future expansion into further lessons). The red cards have the simplified Chinese characters written on them, and when picked up the voice of the professor can be heard saying the phrase in Chinese. Students pick up the red Chinese cards to match them to the English cards set up against the walls. If they are correct, a voice prompts “correct!” If not, the voice says “incorrect.”

The original project was made over the course of two days using Unity.
